Energy therapies to recharge and reset

Balance your chakras and find a new level of energy. Feel relaxed and healthy.

What are Healing Touch and Reiki?

Healing Touch and Reiki are similar, complementary forms of energy therapy that can help you relax and reduce stress, while promoting healing. They both use a combination of hands-off and light-touch techniques. Their setup is simple and they can be done almost anywhere—like lying on a massage table or sitting in a chair.

Healing Touch combines energy therapy with Western medical traditions. Sessions are documented and follow standardized practices. Practitioners are certified through the Healing Touch Association of Canada.

Reiki, which means “spiritual energy,” is originally a Japanese method of energy healing. It is less standardized than Healing Touch, and often has a more spiritual component, which means there is more freedom in how a session is structured.

How can Healing Touch and Reiki help me?

Here are just a few of the ways that energy therapy can help:

  • Decrease pain

  • Deal with emotional upheaval

  • Find restful sleep

  • Recover from injury or surgery

  • Move more easily through a big life transition

  • Increase peace, relaxation and calmness in your life

What can I expect during a session?

Your session will start with a short intake form and a discussion of your goals and health concerns. Together, we’ll come up with a goal for healing, so we can target the areas you’d like to focus on. You’ll then find a comfortable position lying down or sitting in a chair.

Most clients find deep relaxation and may even fall asleep. Even though there’s very little physical touch involved, you may feel sensations such as heat, cool or tingling.

Clients often report experiencing change and seeing the results they are seeking after 3-4 sessions.

A typical session will mostly follow Healing Touch practices and may contain some elements of Reiki. If you prefer to focus on one or the other, just let me know.
